The transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) and transparent oxide semiconductors (TOSs) were actively studied to apply the various electronics, such as transparent display, solar cell, sensors, flexible electronics, and touch panel etc, due to their transparency and conducting in the visible wavelength regime. The properties of TCO and TOS were strongly affected by the physical and electrical properties of TCO and TOS film as a function of process conditions. In order to figure out the electrical characteristics of TCOs, the systematic analysis of oxide films are very important and essential issues. TCO and TOS film has an amorphous structure, transparency, and conducting electrical property. In addition to general properties of TCO and TOS, for understanding of detailed conduction and charge transport mechanism of TCO and TOS, the electronic structure of oxide films has recently paid an attention. This talk covers the correlation between the electrical properties of TCO and TOS, and the evolution of electronic structure. In particular, the changes of conduction band will be focused with a few experimental results.
