In this tutorial talk, we introduce the basic scheme of quantum computation based on superconducting circuit and provide a brief perspective review of its current state-of-art development. We start with the discussion of superconductivity as a unique state of matter, which enables the development of scalable quantum computer. We then move to the properties of nanoscale Josephson junctions and its macroscopic quantization. Finally, we discuss several different types of superconducting qubits and their pros and cons.
