Tai-Hyun Yoon is an experimental optical physicist focused on laser spectroscopy and frequency metrology. He obtained his B.S. (1985) in physics from Korea University and Ph.D. degree (1999) in quantum optics from KAIST. Before coming to Korea University, he was a principle investigator at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), and a research associate in the JILA laboratory at the University of Colorado.
Research Interests
Precision laser spectroscopy with frequency stabilized CW and femtosecond lasers, development of Yb-doped mode-locked fiber lasers and their application, measurement of optical frequencies and fundamental physical constants.
