Kim, Jinhee
Jinhee Kim is the Director of the Metrology for Future Technology Division at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), and a Professor of Physics at the University of Science and Technology (UST). In 2014, he was awarded the Tenured Research Fellowship, a prestigious fellowship at government-based research institutes; there are only 13 Tenured Research Fellows at the KRISS since the fellowship was introduced in 2007.
He acquired his Batchelor's Degree of Science in 1987 and Master's Degree of Science in 1989 from the Seoul National University, and PhD in Physics in 1995 from the Pohang University of Science Technology. During his PhD, he studied experimentally the low-temperature quantum transport on nanoscale devices and high-Tc superconductors. After his PhD, he did his postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) at Gaithersburg, USA from 1995 to 1997. Since 1997, he has been working as a Senior Researcher at the KRISS.
Jinhee Kim has been working on quantum transport experiments in nanoscale devices including superconducting nano-devices, carbon nanotubes, nanowires, quantum dots, and so on. Recently, he has been interested in the unconventional correlation effects at the interfaces of the oxide heterostructures such as STO/LAO heterostructure.
