Janghee Lee received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2009. In 2010, after working at Prof. Eunseong Kim’s group as a graduate student for a year, he moved to Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) and joined Prof. Hu-Jong Lee’s group, where he has studied the transport properties in topological states of matter. He is interested in charge and spin transport properties in various materials, such as topological insulators, transition metal dichalcogenides, graphene, and bilayer graphene. Especially, his research is focused on the transport properties in topological states, which emerge at the boundary of the topologically non-trivial systems. He mainly investigated the transport characteristics of topologically protected surface state in three-dimensional topological insulators. His current research is aimed at realizing a new type of topological state, which is expected to exist at the boundary between two gapped regions in BLG with opposite chiralities.
